CRAWLING BOTS

These legged virtual creatures have learnt how to walk using neural networks. They had no prior knowledge of to successfully commute from point A to B. But the simulated evolution of the bots has led to a generation that maneuver themselves adeptly across the landscape. This work was done by one of our PhD students, Conor Marsh, who continues to work on evolutionary robotics that discover effective locomotive gait.
